Starring alongside Zooey Deschanel in the beloved comedy series New Girl and currently working with Cedric the Entertainer in the hit series The Neighborhood, Max Greenfield has been a staple on our TV screens for over a decade. While known for his astounding acting chops and ability to make audiences laugh, a little-known secret is that Greenfield is also a children's book author. 

The multi-talented artist has a new book on its way entitled Good Night Thoughts. The children's book about big topics — like anxiety and being present — uses kid-friendly language so even the littlest ones can understand. The book is scheduled to be released Sept. 3, but Amazon is letting shoppers pre-order the book now.

While the book is written for children, many adults will enjoy it as well. If you've ever laid in bed as your mind races, whether going over the events of the day, replaying funny moments or thinking of scary situations, you'll be able to relate to this book.

Last week, Greenfield took to Instagram to announce the inspiration for his book: the late Leslie Jordan. Greenfield and Jordan met on the set of Will & Grace and remained friends over the years. Greenfield was even part of the Leslie Jordan Tribute on Circle Network after Jordan's tragic passing.
